More about LaQuandraLaQuandra, of Harlem, GA, grew up singing in the church choir at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Appling, GA. After receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost in 2002, singing became a ministry for LaQuandra. She is an original member of Bless-Ed and is honored that God chose her to spread His word to His people through song.

Bless-Ed was formed in March 2000, at First Mt. Carmel in Appling, Ga. Five young ladies were led to form a group and sing at local churches and quartet programs in the area. The group decided that singing was definitely something they wanted to pursue so they sought management. After meeting The Gospel Originals from Aiken, SC, the ladies elected Calvin Staley as their manager. Bless-Ed later made several member changes and formed the group of young ladies that are presently singing today.

Mr. Staley groomed and mentored the ladies not just on stage but spiritually as well. Bless-Ed quickly grew from just another singing group into an anointed, Holy Ghost filled group of women who not only sing about Jesus but strive daily to live a life that is pleasing in His sight. The group has recorded 2 cd’s, the first self-titled “Bless-Ed and the newest recording “Stronger.”

Bless-Ed has been blessed to grace the stage with many gospel greats such as Shirley Caesar, Dottie Peoples, The Williams Brothers, Doc Mckenzie & The Hi-Lites, Tim Rogers & The Fellas, Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC’s, and many others. Bless-Ed has ministered in cities and states such as New York, Washington, DC, Mississippi, Alabama, Maryland, and various parts of Georgia, North and South Carolina.

Bless-Ed was blessed to be under the leadership of Elder Calvin Staley whom God has now called to pastor the church they attend, True Testament of Jesus Christ, for 12 years and is looking forward to going even higher under their new leadership, Mr. Brian Staley.

It’s not always an easy road when you are young and doing a work for the Lord, the enemy has a way of throwing stumbling blocks in your way. But through it all, Bless-Ed can truly say that they are embracing their motto of “True Worship” on and off the stage by striving daily to live a life that exemplifies Christ. The ladies want to live a life that will draw others to Christ. For they truly know that…”the race is not given to the swift nor the strong but to those who endure…”

LaQuandra, Rhonda, Sylvia, Miriam and Tiffany are ready to endure as they travel and share their testimonies through song to the nations.
